– RewardsCanada.ca
Last week we did a radio interview with CJOB in Winnipeg discussing the sort of an apology letter from AIR MILES. At the time of the interview on Tuesday, the letter had not been sent out to members but was scheduled to start going out on Wednesday March 1st. We received ours on March 2nd so we are assuming all members who have an email address on file with AIR MILES should have received it by now. But if you didn’t or don’t subscribe to their emails here is a screen shot of the one we received:While it isn’t an outright apology, the letter definitely leans that way. Some interesting notes to take from the letter is that they are committed to bringing a better AIR MILES experience. The key word is experience. What does that mean? Based on the the additional steps in the letter its better customer service, better communications and such. But no where does it say they are going the make the program itself better and there is good reason for that. They have already told us they need to make up for $200+ million dollar shortfall they had in 2016 due to not being able to expire our miles…Fed: Card balances fell $3.8 billion in January
