Correspondents Savannah Sellers and Gadi Schwartz, hosts of the new NBC News Snapchat show “Stay Tuned.” (NBC News)Television networks are directing hundreds of millions of investment dollars into ventures that play by the new rules of social media. The old approach—trying to engage online audiences solely with clips of traditional video content—just doesn’t work with a millennial audience, they’ve found.
NBCUniversal and Times Warner are just two examples of U.S. broadcasters making a big bet on original content for Snapchat. The app is best known for messages that disappear after being viewed, but is growing quickly as a video and story content platform.

The Liberals hope that the bank can use $35 billion in public funds to pry three to four times as much in private investment to fund infrastructure projects around the country.
The Liberals asked the advisory group to review projects that could go to the new infrastructure bank, and provide options to cabinet for private funding “to ensure that no delays occur on near-term infrastructure projects,” the documents state…
