I recently received an interesting offer for an airline credit card with a 60,000-mile sign-up bonus. But after researching flights and reviewing my existing cards, I decided to pass on it.

For the next week Aeroplan members will earn triple miles for shopping at Home Hardware. This means you’ll earn 3 miles for every $2 spent at Home Hardware, Building Centre and Furniture locations, or online at homehardware.ca. Find out more here.Also on the bonus front is a nice stay bonus in Waterloo, Ontario. You can earn 5,000 bonus Marriott Rewards points per stay at the Courtyard Waterloo St. Jacobs. This offer does price out higher than the member rate but only by a small amount. Look at the following example for a stay this Sunday. The member rate is $147 and the 5,000 bonus points rate is $154. That’s $7 more to get the 5,000 points. On average we value Marriott points between 0.8 and 1 cent (C$).
