– RewardsCanada.ca
This year on the Rewards Canada blog we managed to publish over 800 posts – a new record since launching this part of the site in 2009. A lot of those posts were very popular with our readers as they saw a lot of traffic but out of all them which 10 came out on top? Read on to find out! Here are the top 10 Rewards Canada Blog Posts for 2021 in terms of number of views: 1. Big changes coming to the AIR MILES program – find all the details here! No surprise that one of Canada’s largest and most popular loyalty programs would generate a lot of buzz when they announced some major changes to the program. Even though it came later in the year compared to some other posts this article took the number 1 spot for traffic on the Rewards Canada blog in 2021. 2. December 30 Update: World of Hyatt awarding points for expiring vouchers & earn 500 bonus points for stays at the Le Westin Montreal
– RewardsCanada.ca
Here’s your Rewards Canada Daily update! Your daily dose (or near daily dose) of loyalty program, credit card and travel news, bonuses, deals and more. This update is brought to you by the HSBC World Elite Mastercard which is currently offering a welcome bonus of up to 100,000 bonus points worth $500, has no foreign transaction fees and no annual fee in the first year! One more follow up to the couple of posts we have had about expiring points & vouchers, specifically World of Hyatt and that program not extending points or vouchers. There is confirmation on several U.S. blogs that you can either call in or online chat via the mobile app with World of Hyatt to have any vouchers that are set to expire on December 31 converted into points. The amount of points awarded depends on the vouchers and according to One Mile at a Time can range from 500 points for a Club Access award to 20,000 points for Category 1-7 free night award. I’ll be testing this out later today as I have a couple of Club Access vouchers that are due to expire! (HT One Mile at a Time)UPDATE: The free points Hyatt gave last December for the wellness video and the points for converting vouchers DO NOT COUNT towards extending your points expiry…
