Microsoft paying $7.5B US for GitHub

Microsoft says it’s paying $7.5 billion US in stock for the popular GitHub, a platform where software developers can go to host and review each other’s code.
The province has received about 20 requests for financial support, but no money has yet been distributed, a government official said.
