Less than a week left to get the increased welcome bonuses on the BMO Rewards World Elite Mastercard and BMO Rewards Mastercard

Yesterday we let you know that the increased welcome offer for the BMO Rewards® Business Mastercard® is coming to a close in just under a week. Well we also received notice from BMO that two of their other BMO Rewards cards will also be seeing decreased welcome offers. Both are the consumer Mastercards – the BMO World Elite™* MasterCard®* and the BMO Rewards® MasterCard will be seeing their current offers of 40,000 points and 15,000 points being decreased as of March 2nd. The BMO World Elite Mastercard will retain a first year annul fee waiver but will drop down to 30,000 points from the current 40,000 broken down as 25,000 after you spend $3,000 plus 5,000 more points on your card anniversary date. The no annual fee BMO Rewards Mastercard will see it’s bonus cut from 15,000 points to 10,000 points. Ideally if you have been planning to grab either one of these cards you’ll want to do so by March 1st so you can earn those additional points. Remember as well the upcoming change to the BMO Rewards program that sees travel redemptions going from 140 points for $1 to 150 points for $1…New enhanced offer for the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard – up to 450 WestJet dollars and a $0 companion voucher

WestJet just sweetened the pot on their WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard by taking a direct line of attack on Air Canada. Now WestJet is offering a limited time promotional voucher that is just like the Buddy Pass that is being offered on several Air Canada Aeroplan co-brand credit cards. And to make things even better their keeping the current welcome bonus of 450 WestJet Dollars as part of the deal!New cardholders who apply and are approved for the card will receive a companion voucher where you will only have to pay the taxes, fees and charges on economy class bookings for WestJet flights in Canada, to the U.S., Caribbean or Mexico. That means the majority of WestJet’s network is covered by this voucher. The only destinations not included are their Transatlantic routes to Europe. Cardholders can also choose to use the voucher for premium or Transatlantic bookings and pay the standard $119 to $399 fee. The voucher must be used within one year of card open date which is the same rule that we have become accustomed for the regular vouchers that comes on this card…You may be able to claim these commonly overlooked medical expenses on your tax return
