The TD First Class Visa Infinite has a new sign up offer as of this month. Back is the great 40,000 point bonus however it only comes with a 50% rebate on your first year annual fee. As you may or may not be aware this card was devalued on the redemption side when it was announced that travel bookings made outside of Expedia for TD would cost more points as of August 16th however that was further extended to November 15th. The 40,000 bonus points are worth $200 in travel. With a 50% rebate you have to pay $60 in the first year meaning your total sign bonus value is brought down to $140. January 7 Update: WestJet London Gatwick service goes year round, newleaf – Canada’s newest airline & Top 5 Credit Card offers

News, Tips & Tricks WestJet announced yesterday that their London Gatwick from Calgary and Toronto will be going to year round service. All the other cities will remain on summer seasonal service. The Calgary flights will operate 3x weekly over next Winter while Toronto will continue to have daily service. (Source WestJet) If you were watching or listening to any Canadian news over the past 24 hours you should have learned about a new Canadian airline called newleaf. The ultra low cost carrier is slated to start service on February 12th. These guys came about really quick but in reality they fast tracked their service because the actual airline is Kelowna based Flair Air. Flair Air is a division of Kelowna Flightcraft, best known for their cargo services and also the being the airline that was Greyhound Air back in the 90s! The airline is going to be run much like Ireland’s Ryanair and the U.S.’s Spirit Airlines by charging for just about everything. If you can fly with just a purse or laptop bag and check-in online and don’t print a paper boarding pass you’ll get their lowest fares…
