Top 5 Credit Card Sign Up offers for March
– RewardsCanada.ca
Here are the Rewards Canada Top 5 Credit Card Sign Up offers for the month of March! This is not a ‘best’ credit card list like our Top Travel Rewards Credit Card rankings but instead a look at cards that have very good acquisition offers. As always when choosing a card you should always take other factors into account other than the sign up bonus, but when most or all of these cards are first year free, they can and do pay off even when not taking into account insurance packages and other non-reward benefits. In fact all 5 cards on this list for February are first year free so you can try them out at no cost, get over $1,000 in rewards and decide later on if the card is right for you. All the while earning the sign up bonus which can be used to subsidize your travels! Slight changes this month! The TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card sees its sign up bonus upped to 25,000 from 15,000 and we see the return of First Year Free for the TD First Class Visa Infinite Card so it makes it back into this list, especially so as the Scotia Gold American Express card is no longer FYF…

India files WTO complaint over US visa fees for tech workers
– canadianbusiness.com
GENEVA – India has filed a complaint to the World Trade Organization against the United States over its measures raising fees on some applicants for temporary work visas, mostly involving the tech sector.
The Geneva-based body said Friday that India has notified it has started dispute proceedings alleging the U.S. measures are not consistent with Washington’s commitments to accept services from other countries.
The complaint alleges that some Indians receive unfair treatment compared with Americans in the United States in providing similar services in sectors like computer services.
India in effect is seeking consultations with the U.S. The WTO will make further information available in coming days.
The Indian move is unusual at the WTO, where most disputes involve goods, tariffs and restrictions, not services.
In its three-page request for consultation, India alleged the U.S. had increased fees for temporary visas in December, officials said.
