A closer look at the credit card that Canada voted as the number one overall travel rewards card in Canada The results of Canada’s Choice 2021 were revealed earlier this week covering 10 categories of credit cards and loyalty with some surprising and not so surprising results. The first of those we look at was a not so surprising showing by the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite* Card The card took first place in two categories along with it’s associated program, Aeroplan, taking top spot in a third category. WestJet will allow you to use expiring companion vouchers for others and you don't have to travel with them WestJet Rewards revealed a new limited time promotion today that will allow members to utilize any companion vouchers that are expiring this year for others without the need of the voucher holder travelling. From October 21 through to November 4, 2021 members can use their round trip companion vouchers to book two other people to fly and you don’t have to fly with them. My spouse and I are trying to buy a home in a hot market (Toronto), and it’s proving to be a challenge. We are both employed with good credit, we have a hefty down payment, and we’ve been pre-approved for a $1-million budget by our lender. However, we have now put in several offers on homes that have been listed within our price range, and we’ve lost out each time to a buyer who pays considerably more for the property—sometimes by hundreds of thousands of dollars. We thought we’d be competitive buyers in today’s market, but now we’re wondering if we need to change our approach. Why are homes today routinely listed so far below their eventual sale price, and what can we do to successfully purchase one?
