 Priority Pass has come out with their annual Black Friday sale for their business class lounge access memberships. This year is very similar to past years however they seem to have released several different offers. One offer provides up to a 40% discount which is like past years but this year they add in one free lounge visit as well which is a savings of US32. All in all this is a pretty good deal if you don’t already get access via your credit card.  Details were revealed today on the new CIBC Costco Mastercard that will be launching in March of 2022. The new partnership between CIBC and Costco Canada was first announced in September 2021 ending months of speculation as to which bank would takeover the warehouse giant’s credit card portfolio from Capital One. At that time very little detail was provided as to what the new card would offer but now as of today we know.The new CIBC Costco Mastercard will continue to be a no annual fee cash back rewards card and will earn cash back as follows:2% cash back earned on Costco.ca on purchases up to $8,000 (1% thereafter)Earn 3% at Costco Gas and 2% at non-Costco gas stations on the first $5,000 spent on gas (1% thereafter)1% cash back on every purchase everywhere Mastercard is accepted, including at Costco warehouses.. 3% cash back at restaurants The 2% back for online Costco purchases is a new earn rate the old Capital One card did not have as is the 3% back at Costco Gas. The 2% for non-Costco gas stations is the same as the current Capital One card however now you’ll note that CIBC has a put an annul cap on the gas category, something the Capital One card did not have…

 The AIR MILES Shops Black Friday offer is an amazing 20x miles sitewide. For most purchases made via the portal this means you’ll earn 1 mile per dollar spent. That’s a far cry from the 1 for $20 that’s normally seen.  This offer is available until November 29 and it can be tied into the current Bonus Boom Boost offer as well. AIR MILES has also let us know they will continue with a 15x offer from November 30 to December 5.All members will earn 20x the base miles on any eligible online purchases (that is a purchase that earns at least 1 mile) made via any retailer that participates with AIR MILES via the online shopping portal. On top of this you’ll earn whatever miles or points you get from the credit card used to make the purchase and as we always say in these online shopping posts you’ll also earn points, miles or whatever currency the online merchant may have with their own loyalty program.
