The Rewards Canada community has done it once again with some information that we want to pass along to our readers! Kent B. let us know that he was unable to book travel to Cuba via ExpediaForTD on his TD First Class Visa Infinite Card. He tried booking online and also called in but was told it was not possible. Unfortunately this means that if you want to book Cuba travel on that card you have to go to another supplier and forego the 9 points you would earn for booking via ExpediaForTD and settle for the base 3 points per dollar for booking somewhere else. I would go so far to assume this is the same for redeeming points for Cuba travel – you won’t be able to do so via ExpediaForTD and you’ll have to book somewhere else at a redemption rate that provides less value. This all appears to be tied into Expedia settling with U.S. Government earlier this year for potentially violating U.S. sanctions against Cuba.
