January 31 Update: Credit cards that help you avoid those dreaded airline fees, More Rewards adds a new pharmacy partner & new exclusive Visa Infinite Privilege offers
– RewardsCanada.ca
Here’s your Rewards Canada Daily update! Your daily dose (or near daily dose) of loyalty program, credit card and travel news, bonuses, deals and more. Over the weekend another popular feature on the Rewards Canada website received an update. That feature is Credit cards that help you avoid those dreaded airline fees. In this piece we look at cards that can save on baggage fees, seat selection fees and other charges associated with flying these days. Check it out here. More Rewards has added a new partner that you can earn and redeem points with. That new partner is B.C.’s Pure Pharmacy which has numerous locations in Southwestern B.C.. More Rewards members earn 1 point per $1 spent on purchases and can also redeem 6,000 points for $10 off any purchase. I would focus on earning here but not redeeming. 6,000 points for $10 is way less value than you would get redeeming those points for travel as 6,000 points nets you just over $25 in value. TD further increases the welcome bonus on the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite* Card, now earn up to $290 cash back
– RewardsCanada.ca
Back in December TD came out with new and extended welcome offers on their credit cards including one of the best ever for their TD Cash Back Visa Infinite* Card. That offer when launched offered up to $210 in cash back for any one who applied for the card by May 29, 2022. And even though that bonus offer was better than most in the market by $10 the prevalence of those competitors offering a published 10% on $2,000 has overshadowed this bonus. When you have 10% on $2,000 (or $2,500 on one card) versus 6% on $2,000 plus 6% on the next $1,500 some consumers don’t see that second part so they are only comparing 10% and 6% on $2,000 spend and thus those 10% offers are winning out. So what does TD do? Well as of today they are now also offering 10% back on the first $2,000 of spending BUT they are also keeping the 6% on the next $1,500 in select categories. If you can max that out in the first three months as required then you will earn $290 in cash back. That’s $40 to $90 more than most of the competition…
