American Airlines has brought our their second systemwide bonus AAdvantage Miles to try to stimulate travel during this pandemic. The offer will be better for most than the last 500 bonus miles per flight offer as it is a straight double miles on all eligible mileage earning tickets flown on American Airlines. The bonus does max out at 10,000 miles however and you do need to register for it beforehand. Not sure how it will play out for many of us Canadians as you do need to book by June 30 for travel until September 30 and we still don’t know if our border with the U.S. will open up later this month. Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan was one of the first airlines to begin offering elite status miles for flying with them during the peak of the Coronavirus Pandemic with an offer that was launched in early March.
