Marriott just announced they will once again be giving a boost to their elite members to make re-qualifying for status easier during these depressed travel times. This February all elite members will receive elite night credits equal to half of what it would normally take to earn the same status they currently have. Here are the amount of nights you can expect to be credited next month: 2020 Elite Level # of nights being credited Silver 5 Nights Gold 13 Nights Platinum 25 Nights Titanium 38 Nights Ambassador 50 NightsAs all elite members have already had their status extended to February 2022 these extra nights should hopefully get you to a point where you have status for all of 2022 and they are also a boost to potentially get you to that next elite level. Here are the Rewards Canada Top 5 Travel Credit Card Sign Up offers for the month of January 2021! This is not a ‘best’ credit card list like our Top Travel Rewards Credit Card rankings but instead a look at cards that have very good acquisition (welcome/sign up) offers. As always when choosing a card you should always take other factors into account other than the just sign up bonus, but when some of these cards are first year free, they can and do pay off even when you grab them strictly for the sign up rewards. This month we see three first year free cards on the list A couple of changes in our list this month as the HSBC 100K offer and the MBNA Alaska’s $100 statement credit offer end. With those two changes the Aeroplan cards with Buddy Passes jump to take the top spots in the list.
