Amex Offers has officially launched in Canada. If you follow the U.S. credit card market at all you’ll have known that for years now American Express cardmembers south of the border get exclusive offers that they can register their cards for – and many of the offers are really good! We wanted to remind all of our readers about the American Express Cobalt Card multipliers being available globally. First some background, anyone visiting Amex’s website or even on many blogs discussing the card you’ll see the terminology being used as “purchases in Canada” for the 5x Eats & Drinks and 2x Transit/Travel/Gas multipliers. Seeing that you may think those multipliers are for Canada only. And now with the Scotiabank American Express Gold Rewards card changing their multiplier rules to “Canadian Currency’ only, you may think both cards are the same. However, they are not.
