Breaking News: mbna and Choice Hotels Privileges part waysA card that was great for churning and travel hacking is off of the Canadian market today. The mbna Choice Privileges MasterCard is no more. TD MBNA and Choice Privileges have parted ways and we have yet to hear any news if Choice is or has found another issuer for their cards in Canada.The card itself as so-so, it usually ranked in the middle to bottom of the small pack of hotel credit cards in Canada in our annual rankings but when they came out with the triple sign up bonus a few times per year (24,000 points) it was an offer that shouldn’t have been missed since the card had no annual fee you essentially got up to three free hotel nights after reaching the minimum spend or for many more of us a few thousand Aeroplan Miles for very little effort.How this will affect those who just signed up for the card is yet to be seen as the last 24,000 point bonus just ended three days ago and was to run until the end of July in terms of meeting the minimum spend threshold.  As always we’ll keep you in the loop with any further developments!RIP
