RBC provides clarification on Avion Rewards via bank accounts/ION Cards, Brim drops their World Mastercard & a new way to access the Priority Security Lane at Toronto Pearson AirportHere’s your Rewards Canada update! Your near daily dose of loyalty program, credit card and travel news, bonuses, deals and more. We have received a reply from RBC on how their Avion Rewards redemptions are handled when you have bank account and an ION card (but not an Avion credit card) Here is the question we asked in our RBC Rewards has now officially become Avion Rewards post:If you have an RBC bank account that qualifies for Avion Premium and gets the 100 points to $1 redemption rate and you add in an ION card, what redemption rate for travel do you get? The 100 to $1 or the 172 to $1? And this is what RBC told us:The redemption rate is driven by the product the points are earned on. If the client holds a bank account and an ION card, they will see two points balances, and the redemption rates for each of those points balances will be differentSo it seems the points earned from the products cannot be pooled into one for something like a travel redemption. I would assume you have to choose from one or the other? Image via RBC — Brim Financial appears to have dropped the World Mastercard from their line up of products…

A program that covers all the reward point earning and redemption options of what the separate programs had before and now it also includes groceries. In this post we’ll give you general overview of all that the new Scene+ program has to offer so that you can see for yourself that it’s not just for movies anymore.Credit CardsPrior to becoming Scene+, when it was simply Cineplex SCENE, the program had a partnership with Scotia and offered the Scene Visa co-branded credit card…
