Let me start off that, yes, there was a lot of buzz about the launch of the American Express Cobalt Card back in 2017 so the anticipation for it was big. Top 5 Credit Card Sign Up offers for November – These cards provide some of the best value out of their welcome bonuses
– RewardsCanada.ca
Here are the Rewards Canada Top 5 Travel Credit Card Sign Up offers for the month of November 2020! This is not a ‘best’ credit card list like our Top Travel Rewards Credit Card rankings but instead a look at cards that have very good acquisition (welcome/sign up) offers. As always when choosing a card you should always take other factors into account other than the just sign up bonus, but when some of these cards are first year free, they can and do pay off even when you grab them strictly for the sign up rewards. This month we see three first year free cards on the list This month’s Top 5 sign up offers are bit more on the subjective side thanks to Aeroplan’s new buddy pass that are being offered on many of the new Aeroplan cards. The value of this welcome bonus pass can vary greatly from as little as $100 to well beyond $2,000. This makes it somewhat more difficult to value the welcome bonus on those Aeroplan cards so I arbitrarily set the value of the pass at $300. This is most likely a lower value than what many people would get but I try to make my valuations based on the minimum amount you can get but felt that most people would not be redeeming it for less than $300Editor’s Note:As travel is curtailed right now these offers are more forward looking and can and should be used towards your long term travel plans – whether that’s later this year, next year or even beyond…November 17 Update: Last day to enter our Aeroplan contest, CIBC extends 10% cash back offers and Petro-Points to limit redemptions to your home province
– RewardsCanada.ca
Today’s the last day to enter our Aeroplan contest! You can enter to win one of three prizes of 25,000 Aeroplan Miles! The contest closes at 11:59pm MT tonight! Enter the contest here!— We just got notice from CIBC they are going to keep the 10% bonus on the CIBC Dividend Visa Infinite and Platinum cards will be extended by over a week. You now have until November 26 to apply for them. You can find these offers on our CIBC page.—Petro-Points has made a change to their program when it comes to redeeming points. You will now only be able to redeem points in your home province based. This is based on the address you have in your Petro-Points profile. I’m guessing there has been some fraudulent use/stolen Petro-Points accounts and they see this as way to curb at least some of that unlawful use!— WestJet announced their December sun flying schedule and the airline is adding flights to Liberia (Costa Rica), Punta Cana, Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), Bridgetown (Barbados), Mazatlán (Mexico), Huatulco (Mexico), Orlando, Las Vegas, Honolulu (Oahu) and Kahului (Maui)…WestJet extends tier qualifying spend on WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercards to January 9
– RewardsCanada.ca
Launched back in September, WestJet’s stay at home promotion for elite qualification with credit card spending has been extended to January 9th from it’s initial end date of December 9th.The offer provides all members who hold a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard with an elite tier qualifying spend boost of 10% of all their eligible purchases until January 9, 2021. This means if you go out and buy $250 worth of groceries you’ll earn $25 in qualifying spend. Considering the airline has also extended the qualifying spend period of all members to the end of 2021 this boost should really make it a lot easier for a lot of members to reach that next elite tier.
