This is not a ‘best’ credit card list like our Top Travel Rewards Credit Card rankings but instead a look at cards that have very good acquisition (sign up) offers. Alaska Airlines and American Airlines are gutting a major portion of their frequent flyer partnership. Effective March 1, 2020 you will not be able to redeem miles from either program for award flights on the other airlines, ie redeeming Mileage Plan miles for flights on American. You will however still be able to earn miles, albeit in a limited fashion, on the other airline’s flights. Lounge access for each airline’s elite or lounge club members will remain intact as well.
