There’s a new flight bonus offer from Air Canada for those looking to fly the airline between Canada and the U.S.. The promotion awards 100% bonus points for round trip flights in Economy and 150% bonus points for Premium Economy, Premium Rouge and Business Class. You’ll note the bonus is awarded is on round trip bookings (no two one-way flights like we used to see as an option) so keep this in mind when registering and booking flights for this offer. What is interesting as well is that I don’t see exact terminology dictating that this is for new bookings only like we typically see with Aeroplan flight promos. All I see is a statement about the ‘offer period’ being August 30 to September 13 – does this mean you can have existing bookings and simply register during this time period or does it mean you have to book and register during that time. I’ll be reaching out to Aeroplan for clarification!To accelerate your Aeroplan points earning even more on these flights be sure to use a card like the American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card which earns 3 points per dollar spent with Air Canada or the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege Card which earns 2 points per dollar spent…August 30 Update: AIR MILES awards their 100 billionth mile & some bonus offers of note to keep that tally growing

A new destination and and additional International routes are being added to WestJet’s route map for 2022. The airline announced a return to Glasgow from Halifax but are also adding new flights from Toronto. On top of that they are also adding a new city to the map and that is Edinburgh which will be served from Toronto as well.The flights between Toronto and Edinburgh will launch on June 2 and operate 3x per week while Glasgow will start up sooner on May 20 and operate 4x weekly. Both flights are being operated with WestJet Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft. In the press release WestJet stated that flights between Halifax and Glasgow will also resume in Spring 2022.
