Ever wondered where the wealthiest folk in the country reside? Canadian Business magazine has crunched the numbers and determined the richest enclaves from coast to coast in their third annual ranking.
Pockets in Toronto, like Sunnybrook and York Mills-Windfields take top spots, along with several neighbourhoods in British Columbia. The average household net worth in Sunnybrook is $22,709,428.
The East Coast has no shortage of millionaires, however. The average household net worth in Beaufort Avenue South, Halifax—No. 25 on the list—is a whopping $4,009,219, up 11% since last year. The average house price in the area is $891,646, relatively affordable compared to other places on the list.
