Earnings: In a true sign that spring has sprung, several companies across an array of sectors begin reporting first-quarter earnings this week, including Rogers Communications on Monday, and grocery chain Metro, Canadian Pacific and AltaGas on Wednesday.
Manitoba votes: The province heads to the polls for Manitoba’s election on Tuesday. Greg Selinger, the province’s NDP premier, has been on the hot seat over his decision to raise the provincial sales tax, and Brian Pallister’s Tories are atop the polls.
Partnerships: The Canadian Club of Ottawa hosts a panel discussion Tuesday on how partnerships between governments, industry and NGOs are becoming commonplace. Jaak Peters of Johnson & Johnson is among those scheduled to appear.
