PHILADELPHIA – The Latest on an auction for a Fiat used by Pope Francis during his visit to Philadelphia (all times local):

The popemobile is staying local.
One of two Fiat 500L cars used by Pope Francis during his September trip to Philadelphia has been sold at auction for $82,000.
Michael and Kate Chapman, owners of Chapman Auto Group, secured the winning bid Friday night at a black-tie event kicking off the weekend’s Philadelphia Auto Show.
Chapman Auto Group has seven area locations.
An Archdiocese of Philadelphia spokesman said in a release that more than 19 people from across the country were bidding on the car. The auction lasted just 11 minutes.
The other Fiat will be displayed during the show and might be auctioned off later.
The Archdiocese says all auction proceeds will benefit charities and the archdiocese’s special education schools.
Max Spann Real Estate & Auction Company conducted the auction.

Malaysia prosecutor, fund will help in Swiss graft probe

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Malaysia’s top prosecutor said Saturday he will co-operate with Swiss authorities, whose investigation into an indebted Malaysian state investment fund indicated that $4 billion may have been misappropriated from Malaysian state-owned companies.
Switzerland’s top prosecutor said he sought Malaysia’s help after the investigation into 1MDB confirmed that some money was transferred into accounts held in Switzerland. The accounts were held by various former Malaysian public officials and both former and current public officials from the United Arab Emirates.
The Swiss office said in a statement Friday that criminal proceedings were opened last August against two former 1MDB officials and individuals unknown on suspicion of bribery of foreign public officials, misconduct in public office, money laundering and criminal mismanagement.
The $4 billion would have been earmarked for investment in economic and social development projects in Malaysia…
