Amazon Launches Rewards MasterCard in Canada with Five Percent Cashback

Canadians who shop online now have the option to open an Amazon Rewards MasterCard. The new card is the product of a partnership between Amazon, MasterCard and TD Bank.
Mike Strauch, Country Manager for Amazon, announced in a public statement, “We are really excited to launch a new credit card that rewards our customers on all their purchases at Amazon.ca, Whole Foods Market stores in Canada, and everywhere else”.
“As our Amazon Canada customers would expect from us, the Amazon.ca Rewards MasterCard offers great everyday rewards and value to shoppers”, he added.
The card features an introductory offer for all new cardholders:
Five percent cashback on purchases at Amazon.ca, Whole Foods Market stores, grocery stores and restaurants in Canada. The offer lasts for the first six months or up to a total $3000 in eligible purchases.
