A big thank you to the Rewards Canada community for providing more locations that you can earn 5x or 2x points with the American Express Cobalt Card. Locations from Mexico, Montreal and more have been added to our Cobalt Multiplier page. Check it out here! Hertz is making some changes to its Gold Plus Rewards loyalty program. Overall it looks to be worse for most members outside of increased points earning rates for Five Star and President Circle members. The negatives included increased requirement to reach Five Star status (although you can get that free with the Platinum Card from American Express), points expiration dropping from 24 months of inactivity to 18, elimination of activation bonuses and more.
