Michigan-based Biggby Coffee reports database breach, possible theft of customer information + MORE Apr 4th

We’re heading off on vacation so during the coming week there won’t be much going on on Rewards Canada. This was our best bet for this trip as WestJet is the only airline that flies direct on the route and of course since we booked the tickets ourselves we got to pick the exact dates and times we wanted to travel!The beauty of this type of redemption is that it is a full revenue booking with WestJet so all of our family members will earn 1% WestJet Dollars on the complete base fare not to mention the Diners Club Club Rewards points we already earned on the initial booking…

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan-based Biggby Coffee says personal information from some customers and job applicants may have been accessed after a company database was hacked.
The coffee chain said Friday in a letter on its website that the data may include names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and employment history information.
The information would have been provided to the company by customers registering their BIGGBY cards and in employment applications.
Biggby says no credit card information, bank account numbers, Social Security numbers or driver’s license numbers were accessed.
The incident has been reported to the FBI and other authorities. The company says it is not aware of any misuse of customer personal information.
Biggby’s headquarters is in East Lansing, Michigan. It has more than 150 franchises in nine states.
