When Darren Wilson shot and killed Mike Brown in 2014, a movement was violently birthed. In the two years since, the conversation on police violence has remained just that — a conversation. While calls for reform have fallen on the deaf ears of government, Black bodies continue to be obliterated under the guise of upholding the law. As of this writing, 136 Black people have been killed by police in 2016. We know the name of the most recent, Philando Castile, because we watched him die in front of his girlfriend and her daughter. According to the little that is known about Micah Xavier Johnson, the ambush shooter who killed five police officers and injured 11 in Dallas, the toxic relationship between Black people and police appears to have disfigured him into hatred by the time he picked up a weapon…
Robo-advisor now offers group RRSPs

But now WealthBar, a robo-advisor based out of Vancouver, is leading the pack in offering group RRSPs.

Now, companies have a choice. Stay with the group RRSP offered by insurance companies, which often come with higher fees, or opt for a low-fee plan maintained by WealthBar. According to a press release by the company, their group RRSP plans will cost less than 1% in fees, compared to the 2-3% charged for traditional plans. You don’t have to be in a large company to set one up, either; WealthBar says that a group RRSP can be set up by any organization with 10 or more employees.

In nod to Sanders, Clintons offers new health care proposals

ORLANDO, Fla. – In another nod to primary rival Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton is proposing to increase federal money for community health centres and outlining steps to expand access to health care across the nation.
Clinton’s campaign says the proposal is part of her plan to provide universal health care coverage in the United States. The presumptive Democratic presidential candidate also is reaffirming her support for a public-option insurance plan and for expanding Medicaid by letting people age 55 year and older opt in.
The announcement Saturday was a clear gesture toward Sanders, who ran a strong primary campaign against Clinton and has held back from endorsing her candidacy as the party’s convention nears.
In a statement, Clinton said: “We have more work to do to finish our long fight to provide universal, quality, affordable health care to everyone in America.”
Clinton’s campaign noted that Sanders had promoted doubling money for primary care services at federally qualified health centres…
