Investors and employees in cannabis companies may be banned from entering U.S., report suggests

Shares in numerous TSX-listed marijuana companies were even more volatile than usual on Friday after an official at U.S. Customs and Border Protection said it’s not just users of the drug who risk being refused entry to the United States — even people who work for and invest in the companies may be refused too.
Kinder Morgan Inc. has hired investment bank TD Securities to facilitate a potential sale of its Canadian business, which could fetch the U.S. pipeline operator as much as $2.4 billion, people familiar with the situation told Reuters this week.
