Ultimate Sustainable Dividend Portfolio – July 2013 Update – Slow And SteadyIn September 2011, I did some in-depth research to find long term sustainable dividend stocks and have been doing updates on this Ultimate Sustainable dividend portfolio since then in the attempt to show how well such a portfolio can perform over the long term. Canada’s new central banker, Stephen Poloz, sounds a lot like the previous one, Mark Carney. Poloz said Wednesday that the country’s 1% base interest rate would remain unchanged until economic conditions improve.
Royal Bank of Canada and IGM Financial are launching an upstart trading exchange, Aequitas Innovations Inc., that would prohibit “predatory” high frequency trading tactics.
The CRTC denied a request by BCE Inc. to increase payphone charges to $1 cash and $2 by card. That’s double the current maximum of 50 cents and $1. In the good old days, all you needed was a quarter to make a call from a phone booth.
